Your first PMC Autocross event

Pack the night before so nothing is forgotten on event morning.

• Your own approved helmet (no loaner helmets — see Safety & Helmets)
• Your valid driver license
• Water and food for the day
• Closed-toe shoes
• Sunscreen, a hat, and a folding chair

Your car must pass Tech Inspection before you can run. Handle the basics at home:

• Remove all loose items from the interior, trunk, and cargo area
• Check tire condition and set pressures
• Check fluid levels and look for leaks
• Make sure the battery is secured
• Verify wheel/lug torque
• Confirm the brakes are in good working order

Gates open for participants at 7:45 AM. All drivers must arrive by 8:30 AM, when check-in begins. Sign the required physical event waiver at check-in, then take your car through Tech Inspection during the 8:30–9:15 AM window. Give yourself margin — you cannot run until Tech passes.

Attend the mandatory drivers' meeting and safety briefing at 9:15 AM. At 9:30 AM an instructor leads the course walk — mandatory for beginners — and the front gate closes for guests. The track goes hot with first runs at 9:45 AM. New drivers can request an instructor to ride along.

Cars run one at a time against the clock, never side by side. Report to grid when your run group is called. Move up to the start line, complete your timed runs, cross the finish line, and follow Event Crew directions back to the paddock. Between runs, follow Grid and Paddock instructions. PMC Event Crew handles all Course Stations.

PMC events are for licensed drivers age 18 and over. Autocross is excellent low-speed car-control practice, but it is not a substitute for a licensed driver-education program. No passengers are permitted, with one exception: a PMC-approved instructor riding along while providing instruction.
